About Anna
Anna Egholm is in spite of her young age is already a very active violinist both in her home country of Denmark and abroad.
She had her debut with orchestra at age 12 and has since performed as a soloist with amongst others the Danish National Symphony Orchestra, the Bergen Philharmonic Orchestra, Malmö Symphony Orchestra and Filarmonica de Stat Transilvania.
Anna is a prize winner in numerous international violin competitions, such as the Carl Nielsen International Violin Competition and the Internation Violin Competition Tibor Varga, and she is also a recipient of the Copenhagen Summer Festival Talent Prize, Bourse Culturelle Leenaards and one of the Sonning Talent Awards to name a few.

Driven by her passion and curiosity for the different aspects of what life as a musician has to offer, the young violinist doesn’t limit herself to solo performances and recitals, but enjoys playing chamber music quite a lot as well. She has recently performed with artists like Sergey Malov, Enrico Pace, Andrej Bielow, Anastasia Kobekina and Francois Salque, and was selected to take part in the 2018 edition of the Chamber Music Connects the World festival at the Kronberg Academy, where she amongst others got to perform alongside Steven Isserlis and Gidon Kremer.
Anna is currently playing on a Gagliano violin from 1763, on loan to her by the Augustinus Foundation.
